Austin Sendek, a physics grad student
at UC Davis has asked the English slang term "hella" be elevated to
proper noun status as the name of a very large number.
Traditionally, the SI , or the International System of Units, has adopted the last names of outstanding scientists for unit nomenclature. Sendek will insist that 10^27 is a "helluva" large number.
