The Birthday of Modern Thought is Tomorrow

On January 7, 1610 Galileo first turned his new telescope toward the night skies and recorded he thought he had seen new planets and new, expanded worlds.  His discovery of moons orbiting Jupiter and other astronomical observations marked the debut of reason based on experimental evidence.  Thus, Galileo brought an end to Aristotelian thought.
